The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation Board consists of seven directors, all of whom are credit union professionals. Each director is elected to a three-year term by the membership of the Foundation, which is the Minnesota Credit Union Network Board of Directors.
The Foundation Board regularly meets on at least a quarterly basis to maintain the momentum generated by the strategic planning process that began in November of 2007. Since attaining official 501(c)3 public charity status in mid-2007, the Board has been working to take full advantage of the new opportunities that this status provides.
In addition to directing the Foundation’s core activities, the Board also oversees the Family Involvement Council (FIC) and Credit Unions for Kids (MnCU4Kids) committees. Each committee has its own leadership and is responsible for planning, fundraising and coordinating activities.
